Wrinkle removal and lip enlargement (injection)
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name Botox®, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Studies have also suggested that Botox is effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

Artecoll® consists of homegeneous polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) microspheres, evenly suspended in a solution of partly denatured 3.5% collagen. All microspheres are in a range of 32-40 microns in size, are completely round and have polymerized, smooth surfaces. 99.9% of the remaining monomers have been removed during the processing of the PMMA. Artecoll contains an average concentration of 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride. It is used as an injectable micro-implant for long-lasting subdermal augmentation, which includes the correction of wrinkles and of other defects in the connective tissue.
